I've been messing around with the modifying the Russian phonetic
keyboard layout, and adding some of the older characters that the
Soviets got rid of.
I put them in so that you hit the ctrl key + some other key. So far
the only one that I've done (ctrl+ tilde) works fine in Notepad and
WordPerfect, HOWEVER, it doesn't work in WordXP. All I get is the `
charactor, which is what I would get if the key was pressed without
the ctrl. Pressing neither the left ctrl nor the right ctrl work at
all.
Does Word support using these charactor keystrokes? Or do I have to
set something up within the program? I'll use WP if I have to, have
been using Word for most everything else and would rather stay with
one program.
