Problems Installing Microsoft Office 2004 Student And Teacher Edition

Hi, I bought a iMAC 20/2.0. I installed Microsoft Office 2004 Student
And Teacher Edition. It works fine for some days. Then we can't open
any of the MSoffice products. So, I reinstalled twice. It works for
some days and then we can't open again. I have three product keys at
the back of CD cover.

Now, for the fourth time when I try to install, it won't even install.
What mistake have I done during installation? Why does it not work
after few days? How can all users in the house access it - where and
how should it be installed?

1. How to uninstall all that I installed earlier. So that I can install
freshly.

2. If the administrator installs in his account, where should he place
the installation so that other users in the house can access the
MSOffice.

3. I need this information URGENTLY - my son need to submit his
homework. CAN ANYONE HELP?

To uninstall Office properly, you need to run the "remove office" tool,
found in the application folder.

What happens when you try to open an Office aplication? Did you remove
"Test Drive" first?

1. In addition to PhilD's suggestions: my guess is that something went wrong
with the first install, and you did not remove it properly, which explains
why you keep seeing the error in spite of the two reinstalls you have
performed since then. Use the Remove Office tool (in Applications>Microsoft
Office 2004/Additional Tools/Remove Office) to remove Office itself, and
also the Test Drive, if it's still somewhere on the hard disk. If you then
reinstall Office and apply all the updates that are available (via Microsoft
AutoUpdate), the applications should behave normally. If they're still not
working, post back.

2. You will need administrator privileges to install Office, since it is
automatically placed in the Applications folder, which is not user-specific.
In other words, if an administrator installs the Office applications, they
should be available to any other user on the same machine.

3. Well, I hope what PhilD and I have said was helpful.
