I noticed an instability problem with Outlook 2003 recently. It hung while
typing an e-mail. 100 % processor usage, hourglass appearing flickering, had
to shut it down via Task Manager. Occured several times in a row, even after
restart.
I downloaded the SP3 (Sp2 already installed) to possibly improve stability.
Sp3 wouldn't install. I goth the error message saying (translation from
Swedish) "patch could not be used" or "update could not be used".
I have a valid copy of Office 2003 professional. I checked the validity of
the installation, and it's valid.
I also tried to repar and even reinstall the program, but the installation
was interrupted, could not be completed.
I'm on WinXP Sp2, all patches except Windows Genuine Advantage. Intel
core2duo 2700 processor. 2 GB memory.
Any ideas?
