problems installing Office 2007 upgrade

I recently purchased the final release of Microsoft Office 2007, and
am having trouble installing it on my laptop. I'm running MS Vista,
and have Office 2003 and 2007 beta installed. The 2007 beta install
is corrupt, and I have not been able to uninstall it.

When I try to run the upgrade, it detects the beta install, and not
the 2003 version. I get a message saying that I cannot upgrade beta
versions. Can anyone tell me what files or registry keys that the
upgrade installer looks for, so i can dump the 2007 beta references,
and have the updater recognize my Office 2003 install?
