problems installing OfficeXP Student on Win98 computer

i get an error message telling me that the system files
are not updated and i have to update them before i can
install Office XP Student version ....... Error 25506
file C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\ASYCFILT.DLL is the wrong version!


where do i find the Updated System Files?
why aren't they on the Office XP CD if they are so
important?
