Problems installing Project 2003

Purchased copy of project 2003. Insert CD, install
begins. Error message "Error opening installation log
file. Verify that the specified log file location exists
and is writable". Have no idea what that means. I
haven't specified anything - it's on autorun and works
fine on another machine. Online help beyond useless -
apparently, on the drop down list, I've bought something
that does't exist, and unless you can click on product
names and enter product numbers - none of which it
allowed me to do as I couldn't identify it - you end up
in a somewhat circular and very frustrating loop.

Any suggestions?

I have similar problem before. Try Copy the CD into the hard disk and
install from your hard disk.

Andy:

What operating system and service pack level are you at? Sometimes errors
like this are caused by an outdated Windows installer version. Applying or
re-applying the latest service pack can help in these situations.
