Problems Installing Project Server 2003

Hi
I am trying to install project server 2003 but hit an error everytim
I try to do the install. I am installing it on a VMWare hosted W2K
server with service pack 1 and have installed SQL Server 2000 with SP
and teh Analysis pack with SP3. I have also installed Sharepoin
services with SP1. These all seems fine and talk to each other whe
necessary, the problem comes when I try and install Project Serve
itself, it gets so far through and then fails and shows an erro
telling me that it has ended prematurely with an error then roll
back the install. Checking SQL Server it has created DB as part o
the install

This machine is not on a domain and both SQL Server and Sharepoint ar
installed locally. Any help would be appreciated

Simon,
Are you installing EPM on one machine?
Is Service Pack 3 installed where it is required?
Are you using ESX or Vmware Workstation (painfully slow).

I have successfully installed EPM on VMware ESX and Workstation: it can be
done. I use the checklist, in the directions. I also back up virtual
machines often.
