Problems linking any ODBC-Datasources

Hi,

I want to create a link from an ACESS2000
Database to an ODBC-Datasource, which is
itself a Dbase-File;
The dialog for importing works fine, except for
the last step: when having selected the data
source and finally clicking OK , there comes
an Error-Message like:" Importing/Linking
of data into your database is not possible via ODBC".
The same happens with other types of ODBC-Datasources,
consequently the problem seems not to be the Dbase-File,
but some more general settings I don't know about....
Can somebody help me please?

Hello!

Try to link the dBase Table directly. ODBC is not supported since the
JetEngine supports the dBase ISAM access methods...

In the File-Dialog (when linking tables) simply select dbase (not ODBC) as
file-type and select the correct dbf file containing your table.

This should work well...
