I have a user who is getting some unusual errors when trying to access
outlook. I believe he is using the 2000 version. The error states that "The
data file 'Personal Folders' was not closed properly. The file is being
checked for errors." It then has a progress bar at the bottom of the text
box. There is no specific error code, the text box is just called "Microsoft
Outlook." Another warning box pops up saying "Cannot start the reminder
service. Unable to show reminders. An error occurred that prevented the file
P:\Outlook\outlook.pst from being saved. Close and restart all mail-enabled
applications." Any help on this would be greatly appreciated. He also said
his outlook will take forever to perform certain simple tasks, such as
opening a task bar.
