Problems migrating ps2003 sites to ps2007

I am trying to migrate from PS2003 to PS2007 on a different computer
following the Full migration: Project Server 2003 with Windows SharePoint
Services 2.0 (to a different computer) scenario.

I followed the procedure described at “Migration for office project server
2007†book. After running the p12migration tool (with the publish option)
some project sites were correctly provisioned, but many others weren’t.

I followed the procedure described on the Migration for office project
server 2007.
1. I run the shp prescan tool with no errors. In Ps2003 I have some project
sites based on the default pwa template and many other sites on a custom
template. This is reported by the prescan tool as:

And

02/13/2008 15:06:04 Web is using custom template "MYCOMPANY".
02/13/2008 15:06:04 Updating list schema in web.

2. After I run the project migration tool with the publish option the sites
for the projects that were based on the PWA template were provisioned
correctly but the project sites based on the "MYCOMPANY" template were not
provisioned.

Has anyone an idea of what is going wrong?

The custom template is not supported by the migration tool. I will check to
see if I have a tool that will help but you may be forced to migrate those
sites on an individual basis.

Scott, thank you very much for your answer, I am stuck with this problem.
It’s good to know that de migration tool does not support custom templates.
Now I can look for an alternative migration strategy.

It will be great if you have a tool that can help, even if I have to migrate
the sites on an individual basis. Let me know

Another alternative I am considering is to do a full migration on the same
computer. As I am working with VMs this gives me the chance to go back to the
initial sate at no mayor cost, I think this it could be a good migration
strategy. I hope that in this case the sharepoint 3.0 installation and
upgrade process will take into account the customized project sites.
