Problems moving from Outlook Web Access to Outlook 2007

Hi,

We have been using Outlook Web access and the uses have created folders. I
configured Outlook 2007 to open the Exchange mailbox (I think it's Exchange
2003 server) but there are no user folders. These are not public folders,
but folders created by the users to organize email messages. Any ideas why I
can't see the folders when I open the mailbox in Outlook, but I can see the
folders when I open the mailbox using OWA? Thanks!

When I configured Outlook 2007 I let Outlook do the automatic configuring. I
think it created an IMAP account. I'm sure it's not a typical Pop3 account.

For IMAP you need to subscribe to folder which you want available Why not
use an Exchange account type? You are after all using an Exchange server.

That is what I would have preferred in the first place. I'm not sure why
Outlook decided to create IMAP acounts. Is there an easy way to convert the
account into an Exchange account, or would it be easier to just delete the
account and manually re-create it?

Thanks MUCH for your help, Roady!

Account types cannot be converted as they are completely different in
structure, way of connecting and feature support. Either way; it's only a
configuration to look at your mailbox and not the actual mailbox itself. You
must remove the IMAP account and add an Exchange account. Best is to start
with a clean mail profile.
