Problems obtaining data

when i try to refresh a pivot table based on a .cub file,
i get the error message "problems obtaining data"

this occurs on only one workstation, no matter who's
logged on (admin, simple user...)

i tried :
- re-installing office entirely
- re-installing MDAC
- verified every Data Access .dll's versions, exactly the
same as on my workstation that works fine with the exact
same file, wich is on a network folder !

i installed analysis services, to test if i could retreive
data from other olap cubes, works fine !

anybody have a clue ?
