Problems Opening 2003 Docs with Word 2007 Inside IE7

Here is the PC Config: XP Home Ed SP2, MS Office Enterprise 2007
I have a word 2003 doc already open using MS Word 2007. When I have IE7
open and I'm trying to open a word 2003 formatted document from the web, the
word 2007 button on the task bar blinks but does not open the document. I
have to click on the blinking task bar to open the word 2003 doc from the web.

Does anyone know of a fix to have the word 2003 doc from the web to open
without having to click on the word 2007 task bar?

Here is an interesting fact. If I open the same word 2003 document from my
hard drive thru IE and try to open a word 2003 doc from the web, it opens the
doc from the web as expected.

Sorry, you’ve landed in a MacWord group (not your fault, one of the web
interfaces is *very* badly designed). You might get an answer from the
people here who use both Windows and Mac, but you should try asking your
question on the general Word newsgroups. Start here:
