Problems opening a PowerPoint 2003 presentation...

Label Guy in CA

I am running ppt 2003. I created a presentation (37Mb) and then moved it to
my associates computer. He is running a newer version of ppt. He made
changes to it, including changing the background. He sent it to back to me
on a disc. When I tried to open it I got an error message: "PowerPoint can't
read: C:/.....". He emailed it to my assoicate who opened it. When this
associate gave it to me it still will not open. Other ppt files sent to me
open fine.

I have tried to re-associate the file with PPT and it still does not work.

Does your associate have the same version including any patches on his
computer as you do on yours? I'm assuming that by newer version of
PowerPoint you mean that your associate is using PowerPoint 2007. If this is
the case, you might want to make sure that when he saves he saves in a
format that is compatible to 2003. You may also want to visit here
