Problems opening All microsoft office programs

Operating System: Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger)

I am currently having a problem opening all Microsoft Office programs. The odd thing is that I can load old Microsoft excel,word,powerpoint files. However, I cannot use project gallery. I have no idea what is going on.
