Problems opening Excel 2004 document across LAN

With Office X, I used to work on Excel documents on my desktop
computer which was actually sitting on my powerbook hard drive. Just
used good old Personal File Sharing. In Office 2004 for mac, I get an
error message when i try to open files from a remote server. Only
happens in Excel. Word 2004 is fine - same with other aps.

Any thoughts on this one?
