I've recently installed a new Server with Windows Server 2003 R2 SP2,
and created a transform file for Office 2000. This server is a
Terminal Server. I'm working on migrating users over from a 2000
Terminal Server (again with Office 2000). I have one user working
just fine on the new server, not to mention myself (Domain Admin), and
am adding another user on but am running into a problem with Opening
office documents under her user name.
If I double click on the icon for a Word or Excel document (either in
Explorer or on the desktop) Word/Excel will open but no document will
appear. If I leave Word open and double click on the document icon
again (or any other document icon), the document will appear.
Alternatively, If I open Word or Excel first, then use File > Open,
the document opens with no problems.
Any clues as to what is going on here? I can't expect users to go
through a two step process to open documents.
Thanks-
