I use Microsoft Office Document Imaging to scan a document. Then I click
File, Save As and place the scanned document in My Documents folder, where it
shows a Tif file extension. When I click to open it, Windows Picture and Fax
Viewer opens, but with No preview available. If I click the Previous Image
button at the bottom of the window, the scanned document appears. Why does
this occur?
When I select the file in My Documents folder, and point to Send To, and
click Mail Recipient under the File menu, an e-mail opens showing the file as
an attachment. When I try to open it, I get a message that, “This file does
not have a program associated with it for performing this action. Create an
association in the Folder Options control pane.†When I go to Folder Options
and select the File Types tab, I do not find the Tif extension listed under
Registered File types. What steps do I follow to get Windows Picture and Fax
Viewer listed?
Thank you,
-
