I am trying to save a project plan file that has been written either in
Japanese or Russian, by using an ODBC driver (even Unicode ones from several
different vendors).
Despite the fact that the database (Oracle 10g) has been configured with
charset UTF-8, therefore, able to store any type of character, question marks
are being stored instead of the original Japanese or Russian characters.
Since the ODBC drivers claim to support Unicode (Open Link, DataDirect,
Oracle, etc.), I would appreciate if anyone could provide a clue as to what
has to be done in order to get a Japanese project plan appropriately
persisted in the database.
Thank you in advance.
I look forward to hearing from any of you.
