Hi Ginny -
The first step is visit the HP site & see if there is a driver update for
your printer. Once the driver is updated - or if no update is available -
run Disk Utility - Repair Disk Permissions & restart your Mac.
If that doesn't resolve it, post a *New* message including the exact version
of OS X, exact version of Office, and a concise but complete description of
what you are attempting to do & what does/does not happen.
David's reply was to a post from October of last year & pertained to a
totally different version of PowerPoint and a completely different version
of OS X. Things have changed since then. Trying to follow those suggestions
is a big part of what's confusing you, but that's what happens when you post
as a reply to something that "sounds like" a similar issue
There should be no need to get involved with the Presets list based on what
you indicated you want to do. Presets only come into play if you need to
make a variety of changes to the default settings & want to be able to reuse
those same settings on a repetitive basis.
The other settings in the Copies & Pages list need only be changed under
specific circumstances & would be included in a saved Preset if desired.
To simply print the Notes Pages you should only have to:
1- Got to File> Print
2- Select your printer from the top list (if necessary)
3- Choose "Notes" from the Print What: list (lower right)
4- Change any other settings for # Copies, etc.
5- Click [Print]
Keep in mind that PowerPoint (or any other program) doesn't do any of the
printing. The content in the Print dialog is provided by the operating
system in conjunction with the printer driver - all the program does is
provide the information to be printed.
