Hi All
Sorry if this question has been dealt with before but I cannot find the
answer.
We have a number of templates with customised multi-level paragraph numbering
styles. Mostly they all work brilliantly. We have modified some of the
styles to use a new font. Again, mostly the work OK but some have lost their
numbering or in one case it’s indent level. They’re all there & correctly
defined but just will not number. In the case of the one that has lost its
indent level, if I type directly into the template it all works OK but not if
I use a document based on that template.
I have tried deleting the styles, saving the template & then copying the
styles in from another working template. No joy. I’ve also tried deleting
the styles, saving the template & then redefining the styles from scratch,
having reset the gallery to its defaults. Again, no joy. In fact, re-
defining one set of styles sometimes causes another one to go wrong. Is there
a way around this short of re-building the template from scratch & re-
defining all the styles? If necessary, a VBA solution would be OK.
As always, thanks in advance for any help.
