On a new HP machine running Office 2007 under Vista, we opened a ppt document
(around 100 slides) from Office 2003 (at the time not understanding the
ppt/pptx distinction) and at the prompt saved the pptx file.
Later, we opened and modified the pptx file and saved it as ppt. Now none of
these presentations will open more than 5-6 slides and frequently gives the
Not Responding label. Even a new pptx presentation with just 2 slides is
incredibly slow.
I tried to fix Powerpoint by running the diagnostics, but it says nothing is
wrong.
