Problems reading multipart email in Outlook Express

My Outlook Express which came w/ XP renders general HTML email (spam, etc.)
just fine. However it is not rendering the HTML portion of multipart email
I'm receiving from a new client. I can cut, paste & save the HTML portion and
have it render properly in IE, but Outlook Express only shows it as raw HTML
code. What's the problem? Oh, and yes I have the "plain text" box unchecked.

Here's some info on my client's system:

Ask in an Outlook Express newsgroup.

Outlook, a part of the Microsoft Office Suite, is a Persinal Information
Manager that provides not only email connections to a variety of mail
servers, but also provides calendaring, a measure of task management, and
journalling. Outlook Express is strictly a mail/news client.
Since my client is using Windows2000, MS CDO
etc., Is this a case where I'll have to purchase the full version of
Outlook or, God forbid, the full MS office suite?

Depends on whether or not you need the functions provided by Outlook.
I could swear I had read that Windows XP Pro, which I just recently
upgraded to, would handle these kind of interoperability issues (ex:
works with MS exchange) on its own without a lot of additional effort
by the user.

Windows XP does not "work with MS Exchange" in that it's not an Exchange
client. Outlook is, using MAPI, POP/SMTP, or IMAP protocols, depending on
the configuraton of the Exchange server. By employing the MAPI protocol,
Outlook can provide shared calendaring and task management as well as shared
mailboxes, and public folders. Using the other protocols, sharing isn't
possible. Outlook Express can also connect to an Exchange server that
offers POP/SMTP or IMAP interfaces, but will never have calendaring, task
management, or shared anything.

Thanks for the response. No I guess I don't need all those extra features. I
just need to read the content of their email in a convenient manner. I'm not
on a server/network, just working from a standalone desktop PC. Up until I
upgraded a week or so ago I've been fine for years running W98se, the
WordPerfect suite & using Mail Warrior as my email client.

So anyway, from what your're saying, OE should be handling this simple
email. I don't know why it's not and I certainly don't want to spend my time
cutting & pasting every message I get from them. The HTML formatted content I
get from them is certainly helpful & I'm expecting much more business/emails
from them in the future.

BTW, I also tried Eudora & Thunderbird but those email clients are having
the same problem with their messages. However other people they write to,
AFAIK, are not having the same problem with their messages.
