Problems reflecting Pivot Table Changes in Chart

Lucas

Hello, I have a problem using owc 2003 chartspace.

I had an application that use the owc 9.0. I used in the same asp page a
pivot table and a chartspace. The chart was connected to the pivottable so
that changes in the pivottable (like insert a new measure) refresh the
chart.

Now, I build the same structure but with de owc 11.0 . The problem appear
when I make a change in the pivot table, it doesn't refresh the chart.

It's the correct way to work now???

If someone could help me , I will appreciate it a lot!!!!

Thanks.

Hi Lucas,

If you specify the source data of the chart component to one pivottable, the chart will refresh the data with the pivottable. So far as I know, this is
by design. I'd suggest you may need to check your codes to locate the culprit.

Please feel free to let me know if you have any further questions.

This is true for dimensions (when we add a dimension to the pivot table the
chart reflects this change immediately).
BUT, when we add measures to the Pivot Table (Details fields area) this
measures are not added directly to the chart.

Can you test it in order to check this behavior? Is there any way to solve
or workaround this?

Thanks

Hi Lucas,

Thank you for replying!

From my understanding to this issue, you can select the "command and opinions" button in the title bar of chart component. In the "Data details"
tab, select "Plot details records". Then the chart component will show the data for you.

Please feel free to let me know if you have any further questions.
