PatrioticsignI've seen this question asked several times and have seen the
various answers, but do you think I can remember those answers... can we say
nooooooooooooooooooooooooo.........
I even consulted my Enterprise Edition of the 2000 Programmer's Desktop
security section. I'm use to everyone having the same database version; I'm
good at solving those problems. However........
I have two database frontend's, one group is using Access 97 and connected
to the 97 mdw file and then I have several users who have Access 2000 on
their machines and will be connecting to the 97 mdw file.
My book said to be connected to the 97 mdw file when I converted the 97 up
to 2000, which I did and it works perfectly on my machine at home. However,
my client is getting an error that the database is already open or there
isn't the appropriate permissions after he tries to login. I had my CA
contact look at the permissions on the folder at the backend as well as the
db file. He specified that 'Everyone' had Full Control, which I would think
is appropriate and that sharing permissions also indicated Full Control.
What am I missing or forgetting to remember?
I'll go check the knowledge base and see if I can find some tips or things
to check there also.
