I've been using Office 2001 for several years, on a
PowerBook. Recently I got an iBook, and have been using
Office 2001. Last week, about a month after I started,
suddenly I had two problems regarding Word:
First, I would try to open existing documents as I always
had: hit open and get a list I could browse: Now,
though, it wouldn't (and won't) open that way. If I click
on the document itself I can, but not the other way.
Second, I can open a new document, write, and then when I
try to save -- nothing. I don't get the screen to name a
document, save it as anything, etc. The tab blinks, then
that's it. The document's still there. If I try to close
it, it asks if I want to save changes. If I hit yes, it
doesn't do anything. I have to say "no" if it will close
out at all.
I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling Office 2001.
Same thing happens.
can anyone help?
Thanks!
