Problems sending email (from gmail account) using POP3

using Outlook 2002. created a new gmail account. Followed all instructions to
allow POP3 to be used via Outlook - everything works except sending emails.
Tried all the downloads, fom SP3 to changing the SSL ports etc - nothing
works. I tried the same email address from Outlook 2003 (on my other PC) and
it works there. Can anyone help - this is very frustrating

Have you tried comparing the settings on your computer where it works to the
one where it doesn't?
