problems starting Outlook

I have been unable to start Outlook after installing it
as part of OfficeXP Professional 2002. I had the Office
2003 beta testing software installed and working fine. I
then uninstalled it, and reinstalled Office 2002. Yes, I
rebooted my machine several times, and I still have
Outlook Express. The message I get when trying to start
Outlook from the Start menu is "cannot start Microsoft
Outlook. Unable to display the selected folder or item.
Could not open the item. Try again." The message I get
when trying to start Outlook from the desktop shortcut
is "Unable to open your default e-mail folders. Could
not open the item. Try again." Any ideas? Thanks, Jeff
