Problems: Switching from US keyboard layout to Chinese keyboardlayout and back

C

Conal

This problem is related to Microsoft Word 2008

I am doing audio transcriptions in both English and Chinese in the
same document. The problem is that when I switch from English to
Chinese and then back to English, the font changes for the subsequent
English language typing after the Chinese.

So for example:

1. I type in English using Times font.
2. Then I switch to Chinese and it uses STHei font, a Chinese font. I
type in Chinese for a while.
3. Now I switch back to typing English but the font remains at STHei
font (which also has a set of Roman characters).

Back in Word 2004, this problem didn't exist.

Any help?

Thanks!

It's a bug. We're waiting for an update from Microsoft to fix it.

The first update for Office 2008 should be with you today sometime. Whether
it fixes this specific issue, we don't know.

Cheers
