Problems syncing with Entourage/Palm Treo/error message on plugin

I'm trying to sync with my palm treo 650 and entourage (I use Outlook
on my office PC, so I'm trying to use the Treo as a conduit). The
handheld sync software on mactopia downloads fine and then says it
can't be installed because I am missing the miscrosoft office plugin.
I have the plugin, and the updates are all current (it's a 3 day old
powerbook pro straight from the box). Can anyone help with this?

--FYI I'm using 10.4.8 and am not trying to sync with palm desktop,
only with the handheld. I can't even get to the conduit portion of the
install. it won't install since it doesn't see my plugins. HELP!!

Hmmm not sure why it isn't seeing the plugin. May I suggest checking out the
Missing Sync software?

The conduit on the Microsoft website is for Office X. I imagine that you're
using Office 2004, which would explain why the conduit isn't working for
you. To install the conduit for Office 2004, go to /Applications/Microsoft
Office 2004/Additional Tools/, and launch the "Handheld Sync Installer".
