Problems with 2003 Beta 2?

Are there any significant problems with this version? I am considering
whether to install it on my machine in lieu of purchasing Office Pro XP.
Thanks in advance!

Yes, but IMNSHO, Outlook is the most improved program of the suite.

Thanks in advance!

I paid for it to be shipped to the UK and have had no significant problems
with it considering it is a beta version... everything seems to work well
and, just for fun, I asked it to "upgrade" my current version of Office XP
rather than do a full fresh install... just to see what would happen. It
went okay

By "no significant problems" I meant that I did encounter some issues... but
no great shocks for a beta:

When upgrading from XP Pro it asked for a certain installation disc which I
couldn't give it because Office, Outlook and Front Page are on different
discs on the beta (I clicked through the dialog boxes and it worked ok).
It wouldn't activate over the web (couldn't detect a connection even though
one was open) and when I telephoned the first UK number the auto
instructions were in German which was interesting as it's not a language I
speak. Second number worked ok but the call centre employee could have been
a bit more enthusiastic... mind you, it was around 11pm UK time.
I lost the right click rotate options for jpg files... although Office 2003
does come with Microsoft Picture Library which is just great... means I only
open Paintshop Pro for serious stuff... MS Picture Library can do the
general, easy stuff like cropping, rotating, basic brightness/contrast stuff
etc etc.
Some infrequent un-docked toolbar issues in Word and Powerpoint... which
leave the screen unrefreshed in small rectangular portions but this doesn't
seem to be an issue and it also occurs in Office XP and is documented on the
knowledge base.

In normal day-to-day use I have had no problems... although that's no
guarantee that everything will work smoothly for you.

Why not give it a go?
