Problems with an MDE

I have a problem that an MDE made in access 97 has been
converted to work with access 2000. On one machine this
works fine, and on the other i get the error
message "Unrecognised Database File Format" Can you
suggest any reasons why this may be? i thought that maybe
one computer had the service pack 4 but the other doesnt.
when looking at the versions, the one that works says
Service Pack 4 and the one that doesnt work says Service
Pack 6.
Also the only main difference i can see is that the one
that works has
VBA Version: 6.04
the one that doenst work has
VBA Version: 6.00

Any suggestions?
