Problems with attachments and with importing

Each time I attach a file (.doc or .wpd) it arrives at
the receiver as a windows file. If I copy myself, the
file is as I sent it. This is a new problem! It has been
working perfectly before.

And - my version of outlook doesn't have in import/export
engine. I don't have a program disk, as outlook came
loaded on my computer. Where can I get the needed
software?
