Problems with Auto-Text Entries and Formula entries

I am having a difficult time trying to figure out how to explain this
problem, but here goes. If you create a new notebook, the create date
usually shows up in the upper right. Rather than a date, I am getting
{CREATEDATE}. Also, formulas such as SUM(ABOVE) show up as {=sum(above)
\#"$#,##0.00.

Page numbers in my footers do not show up they look like {PAGE}. An
interesting thing is that when I do a Print Preview, I see the actual
values. I just started having this problem. I don't know what could
have caused it. I have not had any crashes with Word. But I need some
help. All of my proposal and order forms are broke!!!

Oh no they aren't!

There is a shortcut key to toggle between displaying the contents of
fields as source or to show the result for all fields in the document.
It is opt-F9 by default.

You may also toggle between source and result on a single field by
conrol-clicking on it. The contextual menu offers the toggle.

Read all about it in help. try a search for "show hide field codes"

Thanks,

I got up this morning and figured it out! But I didn't know the opt-F9
toggle.
