problems with Data Form macro

Having a problem with a macro. Hoping someone can help me
out. I have programmed the macro as follows:

ActiveSheet.Unprotect
Columns("A:J").Select
Selection.EntireColumn.Hidden = False
Range("E27").Select
ActiveSheet.ShowDataForm

but receive the following error message when I try to
execute it:

Run-time Error '1004':

ShowDataForm method of Worksheet class failed.

Basically I want the macro to unprotect my sheet, then
unhide some of the columns I have hidden, then show a
data form for the user to use. If someone can help me it
would greatly be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Don't know what you are wanting to do or what you want to happen. If you
have a UserForm that you want to show, use:
MyFormName.Show HTH Otto

I posted the following message earlier today and received
a couple of responses from Ron de Bruin & Otto Moehrbach.
Unfortunately when I click on their response all I get
is "Message Unavailable". Could somebody email me their
