Problems with emails on outlook 2003

I cannot send, recieve or delete emails from my outlook. I am getting an
error message that says "Outlook pst could not be accessed." "data error
cyclic redundancy check".

I have rebooted my laptop several times now and each time a reopen outlook I
am having the same problem every time.

This could be an error on your hard drive; I would suggest that you
start with the following (while Outlook is closed)
- back up your PST file
- run CHKDSK /R
- run scanpst against your PST file

thanks for your reply. I am not that well versed with some of the files. Can
you explain more in detail.

1)How do I back up my PST
2) How do I run CHKDSK /R
3) How do i run scanpst against your PST file

1) With Outlook closed you *copy* any pst's to other media or Documents
location see here

You may have to enable 'show hidden files' for both the above in folder
options of explorer
2) Chkdsk: Open a Command window and type it in eg chkdsk C: /R (where C is
the drive to check) also see win help
