I'm an adequate but not proficient user of Word 97.
I've never had to deal with endnotes before, but now am
editing a document with endnotes. I didn't create this
document.
I wanted to move some endnote numbers in the text and did
it wrong (I later learned). I did a copy and paste to the
new location, then deleted (I thought) the endnote
number. However, the endnote text is still in the
endnotes and something is linked between the two areas,
although nothing is visible in the text.
Also, I've tried to delete an endnote, the way HELP says
to, and it doesn't work. The number goes away, but the
material is still in endnotes.
Thanks for any suggestions you can give.
