Problems with equations and transparency graphics

I can't print cambria math characters (and equations) if there are any
transparency applied to any image or there are a .png image (with
transparency) in the document.
Even when I print, the resolution of these images decreases a lot.

The way I solve this problems is to use images without transparency. But Is
any other way to solve this problem?
Tanks.

I believe it depends to a great extent on the printer - most don't understand
transparency very well. You can easily get the transparent effect on screen
because you're dealing with light. When that info gets translated to ink -
well, there is no such thing as transparent ink :)

One thing that *may* help is to make sure you are printing at the highest
resolution the printer can render.
