Having purchased a new computer from PC Specialists, I’ve reloaded all the software from my old machine, which I’ve wiped clean with KillDisk before passing it on. However, the only item that has a problem is Microsoft Outlook (Office 2003). The following window appears when I try to open it from the desktop icon:
“Cannot start Microsoft Office Outlook.MAPI32.DLL is corrupt or the wrong version. This could have been caused by installing other messaging software. Please reinstall Outlookâ€
I’ve reinstalled Outlook a couple of times, downloaded and installed a new version of MAPI32.DLL and, other than the operating system supplied and installed by PC Specialists, no other messaging software has been installed. On advice from another forum I've also double-clicked FIXMAPI.EXE found in windows/system32 but still the problem exists.
The new machine has Windows XP SP3, Intel Core2 300GHz CPU, with bags of disc space and memory.
Your help please.
