Problems with Fonts/Equation Editor.

Maximus

I am having real difficulties with equation fonts and the equation editor in
Powerpoint and Word.

In powerpoint the lecture notes my University provides display like this
http://server3.uploadit.org/files/RocketLauncher-Equation_problems.JPG
This suggests that it is a problem with their notes. However when I try to
use the equation editor in word it produces all the incorrect symbols. This
is why I think it is a fonts problem

This is what the equation editor shows if I click on Alpha, followed by
Beta, followed by less than or equal to and greater than or equal to symbols.
Clearly all the symbols are incorrect!

I am using Office XP and have tried a clean install several times and still
cannot get it to display correctly.

Thanks in anticipation of any help!

Hi Maximus,

Are the equations in the Powerpoint slides also from
the equation editor? If so you may want to open the
equation editor and check the font association list

If not, then you may be getting a font substitution
based on language settings or having a missing font.
