Problems with forms

Rouses

I have been trying to create a form then preview it, I can create the form
and save it to a local share or a sharepoint server. However, I get an error
message telling me that access is denied. This occurs regardless of me
creating from a sample or a blank form. On my other machine, I do not have
any problems, everything works as expected.

I have uninstalled Infopath and reinstalled it, plus the service packs etc,
no joy. I have tried to load previously saved/published forms from a
sharepoint site, but I am still getting the problem.

Differences between the machines, SDK was installed on the one with a
problem, now uninstalled and Infopath reinstalled. McAfee Security Centre on
problem m/c Norton on the other.

Anyone have any ideas?

Regards

Just a stab in the dark but....

Both machines are part of the domain? You can hit the share and
sharepoint using Windows Explorer, right?

Turn off "automatically determine level of trust" and set trust to
"domain" via Tools/Form Options/Security (in design mode)

If it still doesn't work, try disabling all of McAfee long enough to
test access, then figure out what part of sec-center is doing you in.

Renee thanks...but

Yes, both machines are part of the domain? You can hit the share and

Tried Turning off "automatically determine level of trust" and set trust to
"domain" via Tools/Form Options/Security (in design mode), no joy.

Disabled all of McAfee long enough to test access, then figure out what
part of sec-center is causing the problem. No luck.

I have found an addin for powerpoint that exists on the problem machine, but
not the other, scheduling to remove this once a vital presentation is
completed.

another thought... Have you tried (temporarily) setting IE's security
settings to mins to see if there's a change in capabilities?
