Problems with Import Wizard

This is the first time I have tried to import a text file using Access 2003
(done it many times with 2000 and XP). The file is delimited text. When I
try to rename each field in the text file and omit those that I do not want
to import, it seems to treat it all as one field. I can either opt to import
none of it or all of it, and can only give one field name. When I import it,
the first field in the table has a name,the rest are default (Field4, Field5,
etc.). Any ideas on what the problem is?

I believe there is an advanced tab where you can tweak a delimited text
file. Make sure you have the proper delimiter being used, such as tab or
comma etc.

Hi David,

IIRC this was one of the problems fixed in Service Pack 1 for Office
2003.
