Problems with logging out of outlook?

I'm having trouble actually logging out of outlook. After I hit the 'exit'
key and close the window, when I open up outlook the next time, it's as if I
haven't logged out properly. No password is asked for, and my mail windows
pop right up.
Any suggestions as to what is going wrong?

It sounds as though you may be running add ins or fax software or other
applications that hold Outlook open. Check here to troubleshoot:

I checked on the add-ins, and nothing came up on that front. The problem is
intermittent; at the moment it has gone away. The only recent change is that
a password was changed for a folder within the account. I don't know if
there is a link between the two things.
