Problems with making an account on Entourage.

I'm trying to make an account with an existing e-mail from hotmail, but Entourage is not letting me. I don't understand what is the problem. I'm not sure what is an account ID, and e-mail client.
Whenever I tried to send an email there would be an error.

Are you trying to add an address from an existing email to the Entourage
Address Book?

Are you trying to add your Hotmail account to Entourage to download your
Hotmail account?

What version of Entourage are you using? 2004 or 2008?

What is the version number (found under Entourage menu --> About Entourage)?

I don't know if Entourage 2004 has been updated to connect to the
Hotmail servers using POP instead of "Hotmail" or "WebDAV".
