We have the following situation:
We use BCM at to different locations of our company
For that we created a shared database on a MS SQL Server 2005 at location A.
At this location is also the MS exchange Server with all mailboxes located.
At location A we have 10 users with Outlook 2007 with BCM connected to the
shared database on the SQL server over LAN.
Location B has 5 users with Outlook 2007 with BCM connected to the shared
database on the SQL server over WAN ( 2 Mbit VPN dedicated leased line). The
users are in the same domain. At location B we have no domain controller, no
SQL server and no Exchange server.
Tho problem we have is that when I open a meeting task from another user in
the communication history list of BCM it takes at location A more the 10
seconds until I can see the details of the meeting task. At location B it
takes more than 2 minutes. Both times are too slow.
We checked the traffic on the line but it's not the reason for this bad
performance.
One additional note: all other items from the communication history list
work fine.
Although all appointment data is stored in the SQL database it seems that
the Exchange server will be contacted during the access on another users
meeting data in the communication history list of BCM.
Has someone an idea why the performance is so poor in that case and a
solution to improve it?
We need help!!!!!
Best regards and thank you
