I am trying to startup Access, Excel, and Powerpoint but I'm have problems. I
get the following error message "can't be started. unable to initalize the
windows registry. Rerun Microsoft Access or Microsoft Office Setup to
reinstall." Where is the Office setup program? I don't have the CDs.
Everything was preloaded when I bought the computer.

You need to contact the party from whom you purchased your computer to get
all of the disks for programs that are installed on it. It is a legal
requirement that they transfer the CDs and licenses to the purchaser when
they no longer own the computer.

If the person/company is unwilling to provide the disks, then you will need
to purchase a copy of Office. Since Office XP is no longer available, your
only recourse may be to find a copy of Office 2003 on amazon.com (I don't
recommend auction sites that are rife with counterfeits) or purchase Office
2007, again from amazon.com since I have not found better prices and free
shipping from anywhere else for a retail copy.
