Problems with Office for Mac after upgrade to Snow Leopard

I just read Microsoft knowledgebase article http://support.microsoft.com/kb/976446
and I am confused!

It says that

"If you sync ICal and Entourage 2004, you may notice that events that
are transferred from Entourage 2004 to ICal have the wrong times. This
is a known issue between Snow Leopard and Entourage."

and says that the fix is to create a new user account. I don't get
it. Once I create the new account, then what?

then things will sync correctly.

the bug only applies to upgraded user accounts.

Barry-

I'm sorry that my question wasn't clear. What I meant to ask was: once
I've created the new account, what are the next steps? It seems like I
would need to copy the entire contents of my original user folder into
the new user folder, but i don't want to do that just to find out that
I've replicated the problem. I've been using Macs since 1985, but I've
never had to create a second account before. So if this seems like a
newbie question, that's probably why. Thanks.

Once you've created the new user account, copy the Microsoft User Data
(MUD) folder from your old account to the new one.

First, go to the Entourage menu and select Work Offline. This will stop
Entourage from receiving mail while you're testing in your new Mac OS X
user account.

You'll find the MUD in your home folder in the Documents folder.

Quit Entourage and copy this folder to /Users/Shared.

Switch to your new Mac OS X account and copy the MUD from /Users/Shared
to the Documents folder of your new Mac OS X account.

Launch Entourage. If it does not immediately recognize your MUD then you
may need to select Entourage menu --> Switch Identity... and select
"Main Identity".

Test syncing under this new account. You're not going to hurt anything
by experimenting. If things don't work as you'd like then switch back to
your original Mac OS X user account, set Entourage to Work Online and
try the second solution mentioned in the article you read.

Hope this helps!
