problems with Office XP Service Pack 3 download

When trying to download the Office XP Service Pack 3 the progress bar stops,
I show no progress in file download size or minutes remaining and I can not
exit out of IE (6 with SP2). I tried leaving the download go (thinking I may
be impatient) for 1/2 hour with no change.
