Problems with Outlook 2003.

I just updated to Outlook 2003 and when I click send/receive messages it
receives over 3000 messages that are over a year old. Why is it doing this? I
can't get my new email messages. I need Help!!

That sounds like a server problem. Maybe your ISP restored from backup or
something.

You might just have to wait for the lot to download or call the ISP or
administrator.

My guess is that you have left copies of your messages on the server and
that when you updated to Outlook 2003, you created a new mail profile. That
profile has no idea what you've downloaded in the past, so it considers
everything on your server to be new and begins downloading them again.

All of my old copies have been deleted a long time ago, I'm not sure how they
would still be in my computer or server. I'm still not sure what to do. I
also let them finish downloading, and everytime I open Outlook on another
session it starts downloading the same ones again. But now at least it's down
to about 400 messages.

OPen your account properties and examine the Advanced tab. Do you have the
"Leave copies of messages on the server" option enabled or not?

That tends to point to the failure of the send/receive cycle to finish.
