I purchased Microsoft Office Home and Student 2007 about a year ago. I
downloaded Microsoft Office Professional 2007 Trial yesterday.
I have my own company and therefore email through my website host; however,
I do not care for the set-up of the email and calendar usage is not provided.
I decided to test Outlook through Microsoft's trial version and have since
set-up email-forwarding.
A few things:
- Everytime I open Outlook a box pops up stating that the trial has expired.
I have not ever downloaded a trail before and again, I just downloaded
Outlook yesterday.
- When using Outlook SO many functions are disabled, such as the ability to
create calendar appointments, folders, etc. I am unsure if this is because
this is the trial version or if it is because of the expiration status.
My questions are:
- What kind of crap is it that Microsoft offers these trials but don't offer
support for them - that I have to go to a customer forum? So far, I am not
wanting to purchase Outlook as I'm having so many problems thus far. ...OK,
so not really a question as much as it is a rant but I had to say it.
True questions:
- Why is it showing up as expired?
- What can I do to change the expiration status?
- Are the functions disabled because of the expiration status or is that
just the make-up of the trial version?
I would greatly appreciate any assistance as I'm at my wits end. Thank you
so much.
